ISO 14001
This standard specifies requirements relating to an environmental management system.
The ISO 14001 approach allows us to communicate better with organisations responsible for environmental questions such as the Regional Directorate for Industry, Research and the Environment which is responsible for ensuring that current legislation is being followed.
European Directive 2005.32.CE
The Eco‐design European Directive 2005/32/CE aims to reduce the environmental impact of energy‐using appliances.
REACH
The European REACH law brings legislation up‐to‐date in relation to chemical substances and puts into place a system of registration, evaluation and authorisation for European Union chemical substances. In accordance with this law, substances, including those already in circulation, will have to have a risk assessment carried out, and will have to be tested by their manufacturers or importers in the next eleven years.
ROHS
The European RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) aims to limit the use of six dangerous substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) for products sold within the European community.
WEEE
Or the WEEE is a European directive (Directive 2002/96/EC) which makes recycling of electrical and electronic equipment waste obligatory.
